These microscope platforms remove unwanted vibrations from floors, walls and benching which limit the performance of microscopes , improving image quality and increasing productivity. Microscope latforms are made from high grade steel parts welded together for rigidity and finished with a tough powder epoxy coating. They are resistant to most forms of biological and chemical attack and isolators are simply removed for easy cleaning.
The platform top plate incorporates three elastomeric isolators which remove over 97 percent of horizontal vibrations and 95 percent of vertical vibrations at 50Hz. Standard isolators work with loads up to 25kgs and high load versions suitable for loads to 75kgs are available on request.
Sorbothane isolators have outstanding damping performance compared to isolators that use springs, rubber or neoprene and so eliminate the problems with rocking and wobble that occur with other makes of platform.
The platform is simply placed under the microscope and no adjustments are necessary. The contoured shape is designed to suit most makes of microscope and allows easy access to the microscope controls.
Vibrations are a major source of problems in microscopy and these emanate from sources such as rotating machinery, traffic, building resonances, lifts as well as many other sources. These platforms have been specifically designed to cope with these sources of vibration to give better performance from your microscope.
